The Process
Authentic Alternatives websites are developed in a four-phase process that can take you from concept to launch in less than a month. We like to give you time for thought and reflection as you move through the four phases, but if you have all of your content and photos ready for us, we can typically complete production and be ready for launch at the end of the third week!
PHASE ONE:
- The initial consultation
- During the initial consultation we learn about you and your business and your objectives and goals. Together we decide which website features will be needed to meet those objectives and goals.
- The Cost Estimate & Statement of Work
- Based on our conversation with you, we write a Cost Estimate and a Statement of Work that outlines the features that will be included in your website along with milestones and responsibilities.
- Sign-off on Cost Estimate and Statement of Work
PHASE TWO:
- The creative meeting.
- Taking about an hour of your time, we talk about what you like, and don't like, and what visual imagery is suited for your business. We also discuss the content, navigation, and additional features we will be incorporating into your website.
- Presentation of a creative light box.
- You will be presented with a light box of 20 to 25 images from which to choose the inspiration image for the design of your website and five supporting images.
- Presentation of a site map
- You will be provided with a potential site map for content on your website. Once the site map has been approved by you, we will guide you though the collection or development of content.
- Sign-off on production assets.
- Approval and sign-off on your choice of the inspiration image, 5 supporting images, site map, functionality, and features of your website is required to begin production.
PHASE THREE:
- Production
- We proudly enforce our “no-buck passed” policy. The WebMistress.com team member who has taken you through the first two phases will take personal responsibility for the production of your website. In short, the person who knows what you want will be either doing the work or supervising the work.
PHASE FOUR:
- Presentation of your website
- Revisions (if required)
- Approval & sign-off
- Addition of content (if required)
- Launch
